Which is better for SERP? Either Inner page vs Homepage link building.

Basically a page that has some of quality links will rank higher in search engines than one with no links or user actions.

However, submitting more links to your domain isn’t always helpful.

For one thing, when your homepage ranking is higher than inner pages in search engines, you’ll notice that your search results will become inconstant.

Because when the user is searching some particular information they need, that time they need a deep information[ like inner pages ] about their queries .they don’t waste a time in homepage.

The purpose of linking to your internal pages isn’t primarily to extend Google rankings but to make a connection that creates the pages visible to users.

How can we work for perfect home page setup?

For Example, https://www.technokryon.com/ is my domain. I used my home page to target: web application development, web applicationDevelopment Company, web Development Company in Chennai, and web Development Company etc.

These keywords are so similar with one to one; it made things as easy as just talking about my business in my city-state.

But, my inner pages are very unique: Seo Company in chennai, digital marketing services, ppc service providers, etc.

so when you are using a particular or specific keywords you can create a link only for home page ,but your targeted keywords are in multiple way sure you want to create a backlink to particular inner pages to get a better search engine results as it is a stable one.

Speaking to the point, if a website is really well designed and visitor can easily navigate through the website to find what they are searching for. In that case website owner should be happy if any of the pages either home page or an inner particular page to get indexed and clicked.  And when you execute in perfect with a blend of target pages (home and inner), you will definitely get both the home page and the inner pages indexed in the SERP results. 

Stuffing links in the footer of the website is not the best practice in SEO. The first reason is it is the lowest form of links provided in the website. And the second one is it is more or less equal to spamming by forcing the search engines to crawl links in home page.

And if at all you are eager to provide link for easy navigation, the link should be the exact name of the destination page and not the keyword phrase in particular. In other words, it should be the mirror of the website navigation that should be (Products, Services & etc)

As a final note, though both the main home page link and inner pages link are very important, one can focus the main website home page link as the primary option and the inner page links as a secondary one. As every home page of the website itself deeply explains the entire things in the website briefly, it is nothing wrong to use home page link for backlinks building.
