is graphic designing?
Graphic
design is art of

How
Photoshop Plays a Lead Role?
History:
Photoshop was created by
Thomas and John Knoll in 1988. Adobe
Photoshop is raster graphics editor published by Adobe Systems. In early days,
it was used for editing photos and later on for many elements especially for website and app
design. The tools initially used are difficult to practice and draw and so they
decided to update their versions for creating the user friendly environment
while using software.
Formats
and Features:
Photoshop files have default
file extension as .PSD. The format includes mask layer, text with transparency, alpha channels and spot
colors, clipping
paths, RGB, CMYK and different tone settings. This is in contrast to
many other file formats (e.g., .JPG or .GIF) that restrict content to provide
streamlined, predictable functionality. A PSD file has certain maximum height
of 30K pixels and width and a length limit of 2 GB. The .PSD file format
can be exported to and from Adobe's other apps like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
Uses:
Mainly used for photo editing, Photo
manipulations, Digital art, pixel art and texture-heavy layouts, Poster design,
App design and web
design etc. The update
of photoshop gives the user friendly environment for graphic designers by means
of new tools, animation effects and updation of filter presets. It allows the
user to manipulate images, crop, resize, color correction, 3D
animation and user
interface (website or mobile app).
